Evelyn L. Bass
Evelyn L. Shullette Bass, 83, formerly of 626 Mundy Street died Friday October 16, 2009 at Mercy Health of Northern New York. She had been a resident since March 3, 2008.
Born October 23, 1925 in Theresa a daughter of Ernest and Louise Vogt Shullette. Mrs. Bass graduated from Dexter High School in 1943. She married Reginald C. Bass December 11, 1944 at Saint Elizabeth's Church in Dexter with the Reverend Edward J. Pierce officiating. Mr. Bass died previously. Mrs. Bass was a seamstress at Olga Knitting Mill Watertown, Hartz Manufacturing and Hanna Sports Ware both of Dexter. Mrs. Bass was a former communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church and an avid reader.
Surviving is a nephew and his wife: Jeffrey and Deborah Shullette, Dexter, a niece and her husband, Blaire and Adam Albanese, Delaware, two cousins Jean and Richard Flick and Shirley Best, both of Watertown, two great nieces and one great great grand nephew. A daughter Lori Gail Bass and a brother Robert E. Shullette died before her.
A calling hour will be Monday at 10am followed by an 11am funeral service at D.L. Calarco Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Mark Rielly officiating.
