Later he worked at Hamilton Glass. During the Korean War, he served as a paratrooper in the Army.Surviving are two sons, Barnett "Barney" Bass III of Vincennes, and Michael Bass of Westport, Illinois; a brother, David L. Bass; sisters, Rose Sanders, Gussie Biggs, Daisy and Esther; a granddaughter, Misty Dawn; and two grandsons, Barnett Bass IV and Jeremiah Bass.Preceding him in death are his parents.A graveside funeral service will be held on at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes.Funeral arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Family Funeral Home, 524 Broadway Street.
