Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Flacher and Gorgeann Spires. She was a retired employee of Uni-Royal in Winnboro. Surviving are her husband of Ridgeway; two brothers, Alvin Spires of West Columbia and Johnnie Spires of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Frye of North and Mrs. Margaret Hood of Boinneau. Plans will be announced by Thompson Funeral Home.
