  Notes	Thomas and Eva (Poe) Bassett were married at the residence of Frank Poe on 7 Oct 1886 by John R. Hand, Justice of the Peace, witnessed by M.H. Poe and Frank Poe. According to one family tale, after her husband ran off and left her and her kids, Eva married a man by the name of Beemer who was a gambler and operated a saloon in Effingham until his death. Jesse James frequented this saloon to gamble every once in a while. Beemer had one son, Brace Beemer who was later to become the first Lone Ranger on television.
