  Notes	October, 2001 Helen I. (Bessette) Orvis BRISTOL -- Helen I. Orvis, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, in Candlewood Valley Nursing Home in New Milford, Conn. She was born Sept. 27, 1913, in St. Albans, the daughter of Arthur and Helen [Tourangeau] Bessette. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Marshall Orvis, on March 8, 1984. She is survived by four sons, Robert Orvis of New Milford, Jack Orvis of Florence, Wallace Orvis of New Hampton, N.H., and Loren Orvis of New Milford; two daughters, Beverly Tellbrook of Meriden, Conn., and lona Douskey of New Milford; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucille M. Orvis of Bristol; a brother, Donald Bessette of St. Albans; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. Friends may call at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
