  Notes	Newtown Bee, Connecticut, Friday, April 19, 1907 Obituary Mrs. A.W. Bassett Nellie Richards Bassett, wife of A.W. Bassett, who had been seriously ill for a long time with a heart affection and other troubles, died about 9 a.m., Wednesday. Mrs. Bassett was born in Southbury, October 13, 1850, the daughter of Henry and Almira Richards. On April 9, 1871, she was united in marriage with A.W. Bassett, Rev. L. B. Baldwin of Derby officiating. Her husband and one son, Charles Howard Bassett, survive her. Mr. and Mrs. Bassett began their married life at Zoar Bridge, then lived a year in Ansonia and 16 years at Bagburn hill, coming to Sandy Hook in the fall of 1877. A son, Robert Knight Bassett, died in Denver, Col., August 11, 1894. Mrs. Bassett had been an active member of Pootatuck Grange and her death will be regretted. She was a lady of cheery disposition and bore her suffering with fortitude. The funeral will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m., at the house.
