Death of Milton E. Bassett
The funeral of Milton E. Bassett was held from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Kathrens, this city, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, the remains being interred in the cemetery south of town. The deceased had been ailing for several months, afflicted with appendicitis and had undergone three operations. His death occurred at Bisbee, Sunday, April 23. His mother, Mrs. J.R. Kathrens, was with him during the last few days of his illness and brought the remains to this city for burial.
The deceased was twenty-three years of age and had spent the most of his life here, and was well liked by all who knew him. A mother, three sisters and two brothers are left to mourn his death.
