Robert Carroll Bass
A funeral Mass for Robert Carroll Bass, 82, of Louisville, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at St. Ignatius Matyr Catholic Church, 1816 Rangeland Road, Louisville, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. He died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009, at Twinbrook Nursing Home, Louisville.
He was retired from the A&P Warehouse and was also a USDA inspector. A Navy veteran, he was a member of St. Ignatius Matyr Catholic Church and the Hidden Treasures Club at the church, and was an auxiliary member of St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Survivors include his wife, the former Barbara Ann Richards; children, Robert "Keith" Bass and his wife, Barbara, Kevin Louis Bass and his wife, Cindy, Kathleen Walther and her husband, Eugene, and Kimberly Bottoms and her husband, Larry; granddaughters, Brittany, Robin, Amber, Olivia, and Alyson; half-sister, Judy Becker; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Bass; and grandson, Hamilton Bass.
Visitation will be at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, from noon to 8 p.m. Friday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Ignatius or to Hosparus.
