Edward E. Bass
WELLFORD ? Edward Earl Bass, 58, husband of Mrs. Verlie Kimmons Bass, of Route 1, died 5:40 a.m. Saturday in General Hospital after a brief illness.
Native of Spartanburg County; son of the late Arthur Garfield and Mary Roper Bass; an orchardist and employe of Soil Conservation District; a Baptist.
Also surviving; daughter Mrs. Linda Tucker of Wellford; son, Joe Bass of Atlanta; sisters, Mrs. Neil Cooper of Wellford and Mrs. Lucille Johnson of Inman; brothers, Athur of Mars Hill, N.C., Hugh, Fred, Elford, Judd and Furman Bass of Inman; three grandchildren.
Services 3 Monday at Inman First Baptist Church by the Revs. James R. Bruce and E.C. Campbell; burial in Roselawn Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers: Bill and J.C. Skinner, Earl Hawkins, Leroy Cantrell, Glenn and Leroy Marlowe.
Body in church 2 Monday.
The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Seawright Funeral Home.
