Margie was born June 7, 1959, in Decatur, IL. The daughter of Josephine and John Johnson Sr. Margie worked at Adolf Meyers for many years and attended Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Margie liked to play Candy Crush Saga, watch the news, take trips to Walmart, try new foods and laugh.
Left to cherish fond memories are her children, Daughter Markishia A. Bass and Son Roosevelt L. Bass both of Decatur. Brothers, Donald Johnson and Tyrone (Tamika) Johnson and Damien Plato Sr all of Decatur. Sister, Barbara (Jerry) Taylor of Decatur, IL. Uncles and Aunts; Susie Williams, Beulah Pettigrew, Willie D. Blakemore, Robert Currie, Jerlene Fry, Lydell Tyus, Betty Thompson, Mary Young, and Eva Pugh; sisters-in-law Catherine Johnson and Janet Johnson; grandchildren; special grandson Romeon Blue, Romaya Bass, Quaniah Bass, Cimone Bass, Lyric Bass And Ramayne Bass, great grandchildren Kaiden Blue, Ni?Yarie Blue, Karsyn Blue And Lauryn Blue, Ki?Terrious Bass and KeMarius Bass, and a host of nephews including Special Nephews Jalen Johnson and Joshua Johnson, and nieces including Special Niece Lakeitha White and cousins including Special Cousin Debra Bond. Margie is preceded in death by her parents; John Johnson Sr. and Josiephine Currie Johnson, Her grandsons Ramone and TreMayne Bass, Brothers John Johnson Jr. And Jodie Johnson Sr. Sisters Johnetta and Adalesa.
A Homegoing Celebration Service will be held from 10:00A.M.-12:00P.M. Friday (08-01-2025) at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home.
