93 Year Old Warren County Woman Dead
Mrs. Carolina Harris Bass, widow of Colonel Robert Bass, died Tuesday at the home of her grandson, Whit Chapman, 2 ½ miles east of Woodburn, this county, with whom she made her home for ten years. Mrs. Bass was born August 28, 1828. Her husband died forty-one years ago and she leaves one son, William T. Bass, of Louisville, grandson Whit Chapman, granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Crump, Jr. of this city, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
The deceased was a Christian and a consistent member of the Baptist church. She was known in her vicinity as ?Aunt? Caroline. She was one of the best beloved Christian women in Warren county and had scores of friends who will regret to learn of her death.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L.W. Span Tuesday afternoon from the family residence and the burial was in the family graveyard.
