Harley D. Bass Is Member Of Marine Attack Squadron 225
Marine Corporal Harley D. Bass, son of the Rev. and Mrs. Hardie B. Bass of Jena, is a member of Marin Attack Squadron 225, Second Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, N.C.
The squadron recently returned from carrier qualifications aboard the Navy anti-submarine warfare aircraft carrier USS Lexington off the coast of Florida.

Harley Donald Bass
Funeral services for Harley Donald Bass will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Whitlock. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.
Don was born May 26, 1934 in Tullos and entered into rest Nov. 24, 2013 in Minden. Don served his country in the United States Marine Corp.
His father; Rev. Hardie B. Bass; mother, Frankie Eula Lea Williams Bass; brother, Hardy L. Bass and wife, Inez; and sister, Alma Bass Gates and husband, Marshal preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Dale Morgan Bass of Minden; brother-in-law, Bobby Morgan and wife, June of Ruston; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Pat Bass, Jimmy Bass, Jeremy Bass, Ray Hollenshead, Dan Morgan and Paul Morgan.
