Born in Toccoa, GA, he was a son of the late Garland Clifton and Nancy Carol Turner. Garland served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of Grove Road Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, David B. Turner (Barbara), of Taylors; two grandchildren, Mac Turner (Lauren) of Williamston, and Tellie Stewart (Dee), of Powdersville; three great grandchildren, Naomi, Emory, and Iliana; and a nephew, Joseph Rouse (Stacy), of Largo, FL. In addition to his parents and loving wife, Garland was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Bingham; a grandson, Thomas Benjamin Turner; two brothers, Marvin and Roy Turner; and a sister, Doris Riggins.
