Mr. Milton Bass, 72, of Oakvale, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Asbury Hospice House, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
He is the son of the late L. C. and Annie Lee Bass. He was a member of Holisday Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Carson, Mississippi where he served as Deacon.
Mr. Bass was a retired Truck Driver who loved sewing, quilting, fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Holisday Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Carson, Mississippi at 1pm. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by: wife, Jennifer Bass of Oakvale, MS: sons, Sedrick Bass of Pascagoula, MS; Milton T. Bass of Collins, MS; Kesyeck ?Juan? Betts of Bassfield, MS; Lavary Betts of Hattiesburg, MS; daughters, Tashica Bass of Moss Point, MS; Ayanna Lairy of Brandon, MS; brothers, Charles L. Gray of Houma, LA, Aurthur L. Polk of Prentiss, MS; Howard Bass of Petal, MS; sisters, Nellie Newsome, Ivy Fuselier and Zenora Wilks all of Prentiss, MS; grandchildren: 10.
Visitation will be Monday, February 23, 2026 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm and Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the church, 12-1pm.
