Mary Jane Bass-Millman
RICHMOND, Va. ? Mary Jane "MJ or MiMi" Bass-Millman, 71, of Richmond, Va. passed away Feb. 6, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Faith Independent Baptist Church, 1309 South NC Highway 903, Magnolia, North Carolina. Pastor Ray Kennedy of Faith Independent Baptist Church will be officiating. Mary's cousin Paster Charles Rae Jernigan of Bethany Church, Clinton, will assist with the service.

Mary was born in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Dock Bass and Maiebell Bass.
She is survived by her husband Robert Millman of Richmond, Va.; siblings, Sandra Knowles of Magnolia, Diane Roberts husband Royce of Dudley, Henry David Bass and partner Jane of Clinton, Juanita Wowra of Magnolia; three grandchildren, and numerous family members and friends that loved her dearly.
Mary was a graduate of Hobbton High School in Newton Grove and graduated in 1965. She received her bachelor's from Campbell College in 1969. She spent over 40 years in broadcast media with Colonel Productions. Her passion was giving to others. Mary volunteered countless hours raising funds to support the annual Ms. Wheelchair Virginia program. She loved children and made each one she met feel like they were her favorite. Mary also appreciated music and traveled to numerous jazz festivals around the states with her husband Robert. One of her favorite things to do was to spend time with her sisters & brother; talking, singing, and laughing.
The family would like to thank everyone that has reached out to them during this time.
