Albertha V. (Bessette) Hills
Albertha V. Hills 1919 - 2010 WESTFIELD - Albertha V. (Bessette) Hills, 90, a 14 year resident of Westfield died Tuesday April 20, 2010 in Noble Hospital. She was born in Burlington, VT on December 8, 1919 a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Braun) Bessette. Before her retirement she was employed by the Albert Stieger Co. in Springfield. Her husband Charles "Charlie Brown" Hills died in 1972. She leaves a daughter Dorothy Taclof and her husband Leonard of Westfield; two sons David of Texas, James of Massachusetts; her loving companion Ralph J. Minney; five grandchildren Cindy of N.C., Donna Pike and her husband Jerry of N.C., Mandie Brouillette and her husband Joe of Springfield, Jennifer Mardeuse and her husband Nathan of Chicopee, Kristopher Hills and his companion Jennifer Plourde of Chicopee, and eleven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by numerous sisters and brothers. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews who were very special to her. A graveside service will be held in St. Michael's Cemetery Saturday at 10:00am. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday from 4:00 - 7:00pm.
