Marcia Bassett
Bassett, Marcia P. 62 of Tallahassee lost her battle to cancer on Monday March 6, 2017 surrounded by family at her home.
A native of Genoa, Ohio, she moved to Tallahassee in 1977 from the St. Petersburg area. She retired from the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections as Data Base Administrator.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, horses and dogs. She delighted in horseback riding, long walks on the beach and reading.
She is survived by her husband Don Bassett, Jr., three children Dane Petersen, Shawn Bassett and Brittney Wagner and two grandsons, Ryker and Bentley Wagner. She is also survived by two brothers Larry Green and Garry Green and six sisters Laurene Stevens, Audene Green, Mary Green, Laurie Green, Christine Paleveda and Angela Rollins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lacy and Mary Green.
