Born May 12, 1949 in Lexington, KY to the late Joseph and Elna Bassett Newberg. Dan was a graduate of Lafayette and the University of Kentucky. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Survivors other than his wife of 30 years are two brothers, Kenneth (Yon) and Mark (Ann) Newberg, mother-in-law Lucille Cheek, along with a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Roger Newberg, and a nephew Keith. Funeral services will be held 12pm Sat. Nov. 24 th at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home Harrodsburg officiated by Minister Ronnie Hupp. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Fri at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lexington Humane Society.
