Mrs. Bassett died Nov. 28 at age 82. She was born Dec. 18, 1911, in Hansen, Idaho. She moved to Portland in 1925 and attended Roosevelt High School. She was a clerk for Fred Meyer, Eastern Outfitting and Portland Seed Co. In 1931, she married Wayland T., who died 1989. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving are daughters, Shirley Braun of Portland and Lois Geil of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Remembrances: Portland Toy & Joy Makers of Sunshine Division of the Portland Police Bureau. Arrangements: Gable and Parkrose Funeral Chapels.
