Mildred Evelyn Patterson Bass
Grandmother Mildred was the daughter and 1 of 12 children of Mabel (Barger) and Lavearn Elwood Patterson. While growing up she suffered from TB. She was treated and had long periods of stay at Weimar in California. As did her father and two older brothers.
She married first husband Dallas Delmore Durbin. They had 4 children. One of her hobbies was photography. She enjoyed the hobby and developed her own photographs for many years. Her favorite photo subjects were her family, children and friends.
While residing in Oregon she worked at the Kaiser Shipyard in Portland where Victory and Liberty ships were built. After returning to California she was secretary of the Pittsburg Chapter of the American Red Cross for many years.
After her divorce from Dalls in OR, she married Edgar I. Bass on February 14, 1982 in Contra Costa County, California. They had no children together.
