Alice M. (Bessette) Taylor
94, formerly of Bristol and Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late James W. Taylor, Jr., who passed away in 2007. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Alice M. (McDuff) Bessette. She was the sister of the late Loretta Gruslin, Rita M. Allen, Eugene J. Bessette, and Maurice Jean Bessette.
Alice worked for many years as a clerk for the Bonanza Bus Lines, Inc. until her retirement in the 1980s. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her late husband and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she has touched over the past ninety-four years.
The funeral will be held on Friday, March 8th at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Consolation Church, 211 Sabin St., Pawtucket. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence. VISITATION will be held on Thursday, March 7th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated. TrippFuneralHome.com.
