Frances Vester Bass
Frances Vester Bass, 95, of Momeyer, North Carolina, passed away on October 16, 2026. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her love in their hearts.
Frances was born in Nash County, North Carolina, on September 7, 1931, to the late Grover and Nannie Williams Vester. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Bass Jr., with whom she shared a life filled with love and family. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and James Vester, and her sisters, Dorothy Joyce and Virginia Williams Hinton.
Frances was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Tim Bass (Nancy) and Mark Bass; her daughter, Fran Dement; her granddaughters, Danie Neal and Kaylee Collier (Wes); her step-grandson, Jonathan Morgan (Joy); her great-granddaughter, Hallie Kay Neal, who lovingly called her "BB"; and her step-great-grandsons, Seth and Joel Morgan, and step-great-granddaughter, Anna Beth Morgan. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Vester of Knightdale, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
Family was the heart of Frances's life. She spent many years as a homemaker and farmer's wife, enjoyed sewing, and, after raising her family, returned to the workforce, where she continued working until age 65. Danie and Kaylee will always cherish the summer days they spent at Grandma's house. Danie especially remembers Frances teaching her to crochet, while Kaylee treasures memories of Grandma's chicken and rice. Through these special moments, the lessons she shared, and her kindness, strength, and unwavering love, Frances created a legacy that will live on through every generation.
Frances will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her presence will live on in the hearts of her family and all those who were blessed to know and love her.
Forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:21
