Jerry was born in Columbus, Georgia on May 20, 1950 to Warren G. Bass and Lois Ada Sillwell Bass. He graduated from Council High School in 1969. He grew up attending Broadmoor Baptist Church. He enjoyed family gatherings, friends, singing, hunting, fishing and horses. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Michael Warren Bass and first wife and mother of his children, Charlotte Bass Purvis. Left to cherish his are Marsha Bass, his wife of 17 years; his children, Christy Bass Gray and Jerry Wayne Bass, Jr.; his step children, Darren Furrman, Dana Welch and Darcy Knight; his brother, Carey Bass and sister, Deborah Monroe; 5 grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
