Okeechobee ? Patsy Jean Bass died February 27, 2023. She was born August 10, 1938 in Tampa, Florida to Clyde and Lois (Drawdy) Thompson. A resident of Okeechobee most of her life, she was a member of the Basinger Christian Brethren Church. She owned a dress shop ?Pat?s Boutique?, worked as a secretary at Lykes Brothers, then as school librarian, and then secretary to high school principal, Mr. Yielding. She enjoyed crocheting, macrame, and her family was most important to her.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn J. Bass; and her parents.
She is survived by her sons, Glenn Keith Bass (Ross Redding) and Clyde J. Bass, Sr. (Teresa); grandchildren, C.J. Bass, Jr. (Holly) and William Bass (Shallow Linzey), all of Okeechobee; great grandchildren, Aubreigh and Augustus; cousin, Karen Bolton; aunt, Lois Ferlita; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023 at Buxton & Bass Okeechobee Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Basinger Cemetery.
