Bass Sr., 56, of Colorado City, died at 3 a.m. Friday in the Dallas Veterans Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Richard Bolt, Guthrie minister, and the Rev. Pat Patton, Amarillo minister, will officiate. Burial will be in the Colorado City Cemetery. Born Aug. 7, 1918, in King County, Mr. Bass married Vera May Woods on Oct. 12, 1940. They moved to Colorado City in 1952. A veteran of World War II, he was a service station attendant. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wilson of Colorado City and Jackie of Amarillo; one brother, E.L. of Troup; and one grandchild.
