  Notes	Obituary for Ernest Edward Bessette Services for Ernest Bessette, 61, former Scenic area rancher, will be held on Wednesday at 1 P.M. at the Church of St. Therese in Rapid City with the Rev. Leo O'Doherty officiating. Rosary will be at 7:30 Tuesday at Behrens Mortuary. Burial will be in the Scenic Cemetery. Bessette died Sunday at Fort Meade Veterans Administration Medical Center from an Acute Cardio-Myopothy. He was born June 8, 1922 at Scenic to James and Victoria (Kimball) Bessette. He attended schools at Scenic and graduated from Owanka High School. After serving with the U.S. Navy, as a Chief Petty Officer, during World War II, he worked on the family ranch and later operated his own ranch near Scenic. On May 22, 1947, he married Mary Lavina King at Scenic. They remained on the ranch until 1967, when he became an employee of the Chicago & Milwaukee Railroad. In 1976, they moved to Rapid City and in 1977, he retired. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1273 and American Legion Post 22 of Rapid City.
