Charline Shattuck (Picture included)
A funeral service for Charline Shattuck, age 90, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the morning Monday, June 26, 2017 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Rev. Doug Wintermute will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home of Jacksonville.
Mrs. Shattuck passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 in Jacksonville.
She was born December 12, 1926 in Henderson, TX to Charles and Emma Pearl (Bassett) Brown, Sr.
Charline was a member First United Methodist Church and Alpha Omega Sunday School Class in Jacksonville. She enjoyed a career in banking most of her life and was heavily involved with her community, serving as Board Member of the Cherokee Country Club, HAPY Girls, Jacksonville Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi, D.A.R., and the Hyperion Club. She was also a member of the Travelers and the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Shattuck was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Alvin Shattuck; and half- brother Charles Brown, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Johnny Shattuck and wife Molly of Jacksonville; her daughter Rhody Elliott and husband Dave of Frisco; brothers, Austin Brown of Lake Cherokee and Sydney Brown and wife Sue of White Oak; sister Jane Nicholson of Mesquite; 3 grandchildren, Jason Elliott, Hunter Shattuck, and Ramie Shattuck; 3 great-grandchildren, Dillon Elliott, Ethan Elliott, and Colby Elliott; and several nieces and nephews.
The guest register will be available for friends to come by and sign Sunday June 25, 2017 from 1 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
Rather than customary condolences, memorials in memory of Charline can be sent to First United Methodist Church 1031 S.E. Loop 456, Jacksonville, Texas 75766.
