Patrolman Quits After 25 Years
Patrolman Hatton Bass, 49, who for 17 years was stationed at Crowley, Mi8lner?s and the J.L. Hudson Co., yesterday announced his retirement after 25 years service, effective Feb. 1.
Bass recently was transferred to stationary traffic duty on Washington Blvd. and served at Hunt station. He has one decoration for heroism for capturing a holdup man in a Woodward shoe store.
He lived at 12235 Lansdown with his wife Dorothy and sons Tommy, 11, and Rickie, 4. Another son Jack is a patrolman in the stationary traffic bureau and a daughter Donna is with the board of education.
