Marilou Bassett
Marilou Bassett (nee Formick), age 88, of Willoughby. Beloved wife of the late George Frank; dearest mother of David (Vicki) of Florida, Thomas (Karen) of Mayfield Heights, Micki Bassett of Geneva and Jeffrey (Kathy) of Florida; loving grandmother of Dustin, Kaleigh, Aimee Bates (Warren), Julie McIntosh (Tyler), Bradley Bassett (Adriana) and Kelly; great-grandmother of four; dear sister of Donna Horton (Bill) of Kirtland. Marilou was born in Cleveland and lived most of her life in Willoughby Hills and Richmond Heights. She was a CPA and worked as the fiscal Manager for Cleveland Action to Support Housing for 20 years, retiring in 2000. After retirement, she was appointed to the Richmond Heights Commission on Aging and prior to that was a board member for Friends of the Ursuline College Ralph E. Besse Library. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Marilou to Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Rd., Novelty, OH 44072. Funeral Mass Friday, June 14, 2024 at St. Paschal Baylon Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment Knollwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the SCHULTE & MAHON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 5252 MAYFIELD RD., LYNDHURST (BETWEEN RICHMOND AND BRAINARD) THURSDAY, JUNE 13 FROM 2 TO 6 P.M.
