  Notes	Cumberlink Sentinel, 9 Apr 2007 Nilsson S. Bassett, 1918 - 2007 Nilsson S. Bassett, 89, of Green Ridge, Newville, died Thursday, March 29, 2007, in Carlisle. He was born Feb. 20, 1918, in Marblehead, Mass. Mr. Bassett was preceded in death by his wives, Elizabeth Keenan Bassett and Dorothy Speake Bassett. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Carlisle. Mr. Bassett is survived by his son, Gerry Nilsson Bassett, and daughter, Linda Bassett Darrah. He is also survived by a step-son, Thomas Speake, and a step- daughter Margerty Alleman. Nilsson is also survived by five loving grandchildren. A memorial service was held Wednesday, April 4, in the Garden Court at Green Ridge Village with the Rev. Mark Scheneman and the Rev. Diane McElwee officiating. A graveside service will be held in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead, Mass. Memorial contributions may be made in Nilsson Bassett's memory to Green Ridge Village, 210 Big Spring Road, Newville, PA 17241. The Egger Funeral Home of Newville is handling the arrangements.
