- Notes in Orphans Court, October 1836. “Jetson Green appointed guardian of Piety, Sarah, Kiziah and Jurisa Bass, minor heirs of Andrew Bass”.
(Further note - Jetson Green was the second husband of Julia Ann Holliman (whose first husband was John Bass). John Bass died in 1820 in Perry County, Alabama. Andrew Bass was a brother to John Bass. Andrew died about 1836 in Wayne County, North Carolina and his wife was also deceased leaving five daughters, four of whom were minor children. The girls moved to Perry County, Alabama under the guardianship of Jetson Green. All the girls (Talitha, Piety, Keziah, Sarah and Jerusha) were married in Perry County, Alabama between the years of 1836 and 1843.)

Daughter of Andrew Bass, Tabitha Bass, along with four of her sisters to wit: Keziah, Piety, Jerusha and Sarah, were sent on a wagon trip 500 miles west to Perry County, Alabama to live with their cousin Uriah Bass, himself orphaned in 1822, till they found a husband.
