Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 12 noon from the Woody " Home For Services," 163 Oakwood Ave., Orange, N.J., where friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Orange. N.J. Born in Bennettsville, S.C., Mr. Bass lived his entire adult life in Newark. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Korean War, after which he spent many years continuing his service at the V.A. hospital in East Orange, working in the cardio-pulmonary lab until his retirement. He is survived by his former wife, Norene; three loving children, Marie, Jacqueline and Sefton Jr.; daughter-in-love, Claudia; daughter and son-in-law, Celine and Claudius; grandchildren, Leroy, Sefton III, Allazandra, and Trinity; brother, Willie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
