Ione Bass
IONE BASS, 85, died Tuesday at a local care center. She was a court clerk in the El Paso County courts before retiring in 1972.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses with the Rev. Bill Cooper officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bass was born Aug. 21, 1908, in Chino, Calif., to John and Dora (Allison) Bressler.
She was married Aug. 22, 1930, in Carthage, Mo., to E. Hugh Bass, who survives.
She is also survived by a son, Steven of Los Angeles,
and a brother, Bill Bressler of Sun City West, Ariz.
Mrs. Bass had been a Colorado Springs resident since 1955 and was a member of Alpha Delta Phi and the American Contract Bridge League. She was an active duplicate bridge player.
