Hope C. (Esperanza) Bass
Hope C. (Esperanza) Bass, age 84, of San Antonio, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Hope was born on October 23, 1941, in Brady, Texas to Genaro Camargo and Francesca (Garza) Camargo. Hope Bass was a hardworking and strong-willed woman, who lived life with ambition and independence. Hope devoted her home to raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Hope Bass will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady, Texas. Friends may view and/or sign ?s online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com.
Hope is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Gonzales and husband Rudy Gonzales, Jeanette Moreno, Susan Ritchie and husband Thomas Ritchie, Michelle Brown Carrillo and wife Ninfa Carrillo and son, Alfred Brown Jr, 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Genaro Camargo and Francesca Garza Camargo, husband Manuel Ramirez, and daughter Christine Brown.
