Wilma Jean Bass

Wilma was born in Plymouth Michigan on 8/13/1932 to James and Jean Latture. She graduated from Michigan State University where she met Allen Blair Bass, her future husband. They married in May 1956 and eventually settled in Jackson Michigan where Allen was general counsel for Consumers Power Company.
Wilma was a social worker in Detroit for several years. After the children arrived she emersed herself in volunteer work at Ella Sharp Museum, Foote Hospital and AAUW. She was active in several bridge clubs and played golf into her late 80's with the Sharp Shooters golf league. She and Allen loved traveling and spent much of their free time seeing the world. They also enjoyed patronizing the arts including museums, and live theater/ music.
Wilma is survived by her three children Susan Jouflas (Greg Pecheos), Ben Bass (Kim), David Bass (Marion), her seven grandsons, one granddaughter and three greatgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Allen.
At her request no service will be conducted. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church in Jackon or Ella Sharp Museum in Jackson.
