Colleen June Casey

A family committal service will be held for Colleen Casey, 80, of Coos Bay, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California. Colleen was born April 17, 1926 in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of John and Ruth (Smith) Casey. She passed away August 7, 2006 at Coos Bay, Oregon. Colleen lived in Whittier, Ca. from 1953 to 1974 when she moved to La Mirada, Ca. She has lived in Coos Bay, Oregon for the last year. She was a registered nurse at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, Western Medical Review, and California Medical Review, Inc. She enjoyed traveling, photography, genealogy, needlepoint and handicrafts, and the time spent with her family. She is survived by; Lifepartner Jerome "Jerry" Matosec Coos Bay, OR., Son Thomas Matosec North Bend, OR., Grandson John Bassett Salinas, CA., Granddaughter Kimry Bassett St. George, UT., Granddaughter Heather Barnard Draper, UT., Grandson James Matosec North Bend, OR., Great Grandchildren Edward & Eden Barnard Draper, UT., Sister Eileen Casey Dunn Davenport, IA., 3 Nieces and 5 Nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Bassett Feldman in 1991. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson's Bay Area Mortuary, 405 Elrod, Coos Bay, Oregon 541/267-4216.
