Rosemary Mickey (Pilla) Bassett
BELLINGHAM – Rosemary Mickey (Pilla) Bassett, 79, of Bellingham, died
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester. She was the
wife of Paul M. Bassett, who died in 2007. She was born in Milford, daughter
of the late Angelo and Grace (Niro) Pilla, and lived in Milford most of her
life before moving to Bellingham in 1983. She was a graduate of Milford High
School Class of 1946. Mrs. Bassett owned and operated, along with her husband,
the Formal House in Milford and Marlborough until 1988. Previously, she was
employed as a hairdresser in the Boston area. She was a member of Sacred Heart
of Jesus Church. She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Anne Atanian of
Medway and Leslie Lana and her husband, Brad Letourneau, of Medway; one
brother, John Pilla of Milford; one sister, Anne Rando of Milford; three
grandchildren, Lisa Mazzola of Milford, Dana Letourneau of Medway and Alison
Cifizzari of Medway; also many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be private
and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be
held Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home, 46
Water St., Milford.
