Bassett died at the home of her son on Canaan street Saturday evening at the age of 75 years. For more than forty years Mrs. Bassett was a resident of Waymart where she was respected and loved by everybody in the village. She was the mother of Mrs. John Berry and James Bassett of this city, and Mrs. Smith Dennis, of Port Jervis, N.Y.
