Willie Mae Bass

Willie Mae Royals Bass, 86, of Live Oak, FL passed away at 2:30 am Sunday, November 1, 2015 after a long illness in the Lafayette Health Care Center, Mayo, Fl. She was a member, worship leader and Sunday school teacher for the Pine Grove Church of God, Live Oak, Fl. She was a devout Christian and a devoted homemaker and mother. She gave of herself completely to her family and to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Willie Mae Royals Bass was born on October 12, 1929 in Nashville, Ga to Willie and Annie Eliza Rogers Royals. She met James Ernest ?Bunch? Bass while attending Naylor School, Naylor, Ga. They were married in November of 1947 and moved to Live Oak, Fl in 1966.
She is survived by four daughters: Annie (Roger) Cain, Kathleen, Ga, Alisa (Andy) Fortner, Terry (Ray) Hayes, and Heather (Richard) Banks all of Live Oak, Fl; Four sons: Byron (Sandra) Bass, Mc Alpin, Fl, Derwin (Esther) Bass, Live Oak, Fl, Barry (Melisa) Bass, Mc Alpin, Fl and Dean (Robyn) Bass, Live Oak, Fl; Two brothers: William ?Bill? Royals and Joseph ?Dody? Royals both of Lakeland, Ga; Twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her daughter: Shelia Bass; Grandson: Jason Michael Bass; Son-in-law: Thomas Earl Goddard.
Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday November 3, 2015 in the Daniels Memorial Chapel with visitation to be held from 5 to 6 pm before services. Interment will follow 11:00 am Wednesday November 4, 2015 in Good Hope Cemetery, Naylor, Ga.
