Ruth Shaner (1926-2016) (Picture included)
Teresa Ruth Schwilke Shaner died on March 7, 2016 at the age of 89. She was born in 1926, grew up in Estes Park, attended the University of Colorado and married her husband Jamesin 1949. She hiked most of the trails of RMNP and enjoyed skiing and traveling. She is survived by her husband, her children, Diane Bassett and James A. Shaner, two grandchildren, Daniel Bassett and Veronica Shaner, and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church in Lakewood, CO at 1pm on March 31. Contributions may be made to the Rocky Mountain Conservancy P. O.
