Jacqueline Bessette
Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Bessette, age 85, of Oshkosh, passed away at Bethel Home on December 11, 2014. She was born on July 5, 1929, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Eugene and Marie (Robl) Shew. On February 15, 1947, Jackie married Arnold Bessette and he precedes her in death.
A beloved "grandma" to all the children in the neighborhood, Jackie took that caring personality further when she became a coordinator for Gold Star Tours, where she made many good friends.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sandra Bessette of Oshkosh; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Bob) Thomer of Omro; a great-granddaughter, Hannah Thomer; a sister-in-law, Angela Shew; nieces and nephews. Preceding Jackie in death is her husband, two brothers, Eugene and Clifford Shew, and a sister-in-law, Eda Shew.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. in Fox Cities Cremation Services Chapel, 3026 Jackson St., with a time of visitation from 3:00 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jackie's memory to Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice Services, 816 W. Winneconne Ave, Neenah, WI 54959 would be appreciated.
A special thank you to Bob Ratchman and his family for the love and support you gave to Jackie. You filled her last years with fun and laughter.
