Rosa Beth Siewertsen Bass
BASS - Rosa Beth (Siewertsen) Bass, 60, passed away Friday, January 16, 2004, in New Hampton.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Sunnyside Funeral Home Chapel, Charles City, with Rev. A.C. Wegner officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City.
Friends may call at Sunnyside Funeral Home, Wednesday, January 21, 2004, from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
Rosa was born October 14, 1943 to Erwin and Cornellia (Lang) Siewertsen at Mason City. Rosa graduated from Charles City High School and Hamilton Business College (Data Processing), Mason City. On October 19, 1964, Rosa was united in marriage to John Bass at Clarksville. John passed away January 5, 1989.
Rosa worked at Comp Systems and belonged to their union for fifteen (15) years, retiring in the Fall of 2003. Rosa lived in the Floyd and Chickasaw County area since 1968.
Survivors include her mother, Cornellia, Nora Springs; a son, Ronald Bass, Ionia; one daughter, Shelly (Chuck) Miller, Charles City; a step-son, Michael (Connie) Bass, 29 Palms, Calif.; three step-daughters, Connie (Mike) Driver, New Port, Ark., Kathy (Ken) Golly, Charles City, Evelyn (Jim) Rogers, Denver, Iowa; a brother, Maynard (Deb) Siewertsen, Charles City; four sisters, Vernita ("Bud") Roy, Apple Valley, Minn., Idona (Jack) Patten, Cedar Rapids, Olene (Al) Schroeder, Greene, Martha Torres, Waseca, Minn.; two granddaughters; three step-granddaughters; four step-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.
Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, father, two sisters and a stepson.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Sunnyside Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.
