Alma Tarter Bass
Graveside services for Alma Tarter Bass, 86, of Murfreesboro, who died Friday, Jan. 25, at NHC National Healthcare Center of Murfreesboro, will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Salem Cemetery, Liberty.
She was the daughter of the late Ewell D. and Winnie Gaultney Tarter. She was the widow of John G. Bass.
She is survived by son John G. Bass Jr. of Murfreesboro; sisters Lola Meadows of Murfreesboro and Audrey Hoover of Jonesboro; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A native of Coffee County, she was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ, a dorm mother at Rutledge Hall at MTSU and retired as director of James Union Building at MTSU. She was also a hostess at Middle Tennessee Christian Student Center.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
