Blanche Irene Bass
BLANCHE IRENE BASS Blanche Irene Bass, 96, of Marshfield, died Saturday, July 3, 2010.
She was born March 13, 1914.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy Matthew Bass; four sisters, three brothers and four of her children, Carolyn, Leroy, Howard and Elizabeth.
She was a faithful Christian.
Survivors include two sisters, Georgia Moore, of Springfield, and Betty Herman, of Elkland; a brother, Thurman (Junior) Vinyard and his wife, Marcella, of Pleasant Hope; two children, Retha Stroud, of Springfield and Guy (Junior) Bass and his wife, Anna, of Marshfield; daughters-in-law, Betty Hosey, of the state of Florida and Donna Hosey, of Chicago, Ill.; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Blanche Irene Bass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at the Day Funeral Home in Marshfield with the Rev. Jack Dinwiddie officiating.
Burial will be in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Day Funeral Home of Marshfield.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
