July 27, 2022. Age 82. Adored wife for nearly 64 years to Ronald. Beloved mother of Curtis, Karen (Dave) Long, Gary (Kim) Brian (Kim) and mother-in-law to Jane Bass. Loving grandmother of Ryan (Alyssa), Brenda, Kevin Long, Jennifer (Calin) Kendall, Allison, Ashley and Austin. Cherished great-grandmother of Alexander Ronald Bass. Dear sister of Janet (Steve) Gerbe and the late Robert Winkleman. Dear daughter of the late Edwin and Madeline Winkelman. Marlene loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and especially a great-grandmother to Alex. Marlene married Ron in 1958, on Thanksgiving day. She hosted many family gatherings, was very generous with her time and was always available for here children and grandchildren. Marlene and Ron kept a beautiful garden with extensive flowers. Immensely talented and creative, Marlene enjoyed sewing and was a brilliant quilter. She was active within the quilter's guild and created the most beautiful quilted works of art. She will be dearly missed by her family and anyone who had the pleasure to be in her glowing company. Visitation Saturday, July 30, 2022 10am-12pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile) with funeral service at 12pm. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer?s Association or a living plant.
