Section 1 - Welcome
Several DNA kits were received back at the lab this month from family lines
not yet represented in the study. Hopefully the results will give us some
idea of where to concentrate our research on next for these lines. These
tests include the following lines:

Based on DNA results, Frank descends from William Bassett of Plymouth but
no paper trail has yet been proven to make the connection. His current family
line is as follows:

in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas. He married Mary Wilson. He
was listed as age 69, a merchant in Batesville when he died.
He is buried at Oaklawn in Ruddell Township,
Indepedence County, Arkansas.

He died in 1923. This was Woodson Bassett's first cousin who corresponded
with him for many years and whose family still lived in Paris, Missouri
in the 1950's. He married Fannie Giddings on 24 Jul 1856 in Monroe
County, Missouri.

Section 6 - DNA project update.
As a follow up to DNA results presented in last month's
newsletter, the #178B William Bassett family DNA results
are back, and this line also matches the same group of Bassetts
from in and around London and the group descended through
William Bassett who settled in Lynn, Massachusetts.. Descendants
of both Thomas Bassett and George Bassett, both sons of
William Bassett have been tested and their results are shown
below.
